Chetty's History:

Chester Wayne "Chetty" Morton, bus driver and mechanic extraordinaire, became Class VI 's first bus driver in 1978 as part of the package deal when they purchased a 1949 GMC transit bus from Oak Hill City Lines. At an age when most people begin retirement, Chetty started an 18 year stint with Class VI. His favorite bus, No. 6, a 1965 GMC coach, was part of our fleet until 2001, and the that old GMC also played a role in the 1991 movie, A Rage in Harlem. Chetty passed away in February 2004 at the age of 90. We will always remember him fondly for his smile and the many history lessons he gave.
