Half and One-Day Whitewater Rafting in West Virginia's New River Gorge
Raft West Virginia's Upper or Lower New River on any Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday in June, July or August for just $89/person.
The New River Gorge is the classic trip that built the entire West Virginia white water rafting game. And with two distinct sections—the Upper New and the Lower New—it's easy to find something to fit the bill, whether you want class-V high adventure in huge waves or just a leisurely float trip punctuated by moments of excitement. Families with children as young as age 6 will love the Upper New River, with it's long pools for swimming and rippley shoals that add just the right amount of adventure. Families with children down to age 9, can also choose popular summer trip, the Family Lower New, which opens up the Gorge to kids who previously were too young to go. The Lower New River is the real white water classic, with famous class IV-V rapids like the Keeneys and Double Z. For the biggest ride, be sure to raft the New in the Springtime, when snowmelt and seasonal rains combine to swell her into a raging giant!
Boat Upgrades: Want a bigger ride? Try a smaller boat. 6-person raft = $150/boat/day, $240/boat/day for double trips and marathons. 4-person raft = $200/boat/day, $300/boat/day for double trips and marathons.
